The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints website (http://lds.org) has a directory that members can use to find out about members in their ward and stake. Each person can upload a photo of themselves and their family, so that others know what they look like. This is how to do it:
[Click any of the pictures for a full-sized screenshot. For more help, seehttp://www.lds.org/tools/help/directory/editing-your-profile#2 ]
1. Go to http://lds.org and click the “Tools” button.
2. From the Tools menu, select “Directory”
3. You will be prompted to sign in with your LDS account. You can register for an account from this page if you don’t already have one, but you will need your membership number.
4. On the Directory page, click on the My Household link on the left side.
5. On the top right, above your household information, click Edit.
6. Below one of the blank pictures, click the “Add a photo” link
7. Before you can upload photos, read the Upload Guidelines and click “Continue”
8. On the next screen, click the “Select Photo” button. A box will popup for you to choose the file from your computer – the appearance will vary depending on whether you have a Windows or Mac computer. This may not work on a smartphone or tablet. This may take a few minutes depending on the size of the photo and your internet connection speed.
9. Click the “Upload Now” button to send the pictures from your computer to the LDS website.
10. When the upload is complete, you will see a list of files that were uploaded. Click “Done”.
11. You should see your picture now. Click the “View” button above your household information. Your part is complete.
12. Images will not be visible to others until your ward clerk or someone given permission by your bishop reviews the pictures.
